PROLEARN

PROLEARN is a 'Network of Excellence' financed by the IST (Information Society Technology) programme of the European commission dealing with technology enhanced professional learning.
Our mission is to bring together the most important research groups in the area of professional learning, as well as other key organisations and industrial partners, thus bridging the currently existing gap between research and education at universities and similar organisations and training and continuous education that is provided for and within companies.

PROLEARN's aim is to achieve greater focus on questions of European importance and a better integration of research efforts on the basis of an improved partnership between the various actors in the European Research Area.

The project will particularly support multinational co-operation and will therefore form a new understanding of an open network within the research community.

This portal for technology enhanced learning (TEL) Business Solutions is a work provided by the Work Package Business Models, Processes & Markets of PROLEARN. The idea is to build an open portal system to support the move from PROLEARN research results and prototypes into market ready solutions.
The portal for TEL business solutions will provide information about research results, prototypes and business models and will be open to any European organization or individual that / who is interested in the collaborative development of excellent eLearning products and services with the right business models, expertise and budget to enter the market and stay competitive. The result is this shared virtual network with the potential to support close cooperations between European research and industry organizations and investors. It will be integrated into the PROLEARN Virtual Competence Centre.
