Business models for TEL

This task will focus on providing reference models for technology enhanced learning providers, both traditional players as well as new entrants, such as corporate universities. For traditional players such as HEIs, the focus will be on shifting the emphasis from a bottom-up, project-based orientation of media development, driven by individual research interests, to a process of organizational reform and institutional planning and professional support initiated and supported top-down; from technology-driven initiatives to the use of technology based on comprehensive pedagogical concepts.
We will present a comprehensive and cogent taxonomy of business models and determine the best practices for business development in the field. Industry participants, SMEs such as IMC in Germany and Campus of Europe in France, as well as larger companies, will be involved during the length of the project.
